Chinese massage — also known as Tuina — is a traditional body therapy from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It works with pressure, kneading and strokes along the body's energy pathways. Many find it both firm and invigorating.

Chinese massage — known in the original as Tuina — is an established part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It uses pressure, kneading and rolling movements along the body's meridians. In Germany you find it in specialist TCM studios as well as in many Asian wellness studios as an alternative to Thai massage.
In German studios you encounter various names for similar offerings. Tuina is the classic TCM term — a structured massage along meridians. TCM massage is often the more general term studios use. Chinese massage can mean either, or simply a firm oil massage in a Chinese style. It is worth asking the studio briefly what exactly they offer.
The massage is often firmer than a western relaxation massage — that is intentional. The therapist works systematically through the body, focusing on shoulders, back and limbs. You often stay partly clothed or the massage is done over thin clothing. Some studios also offer oil variants.
